Bella Italia

I am back from Bella Italia....and let me tell you, I have made no worse decision in my life than getting on that return flight. :)

Think of any random category - fashion, food, beverage, furniture, bars, cafes, restaurants - and the Italians do it fabulously. (Please disregard my obvious bias.) I love the attention to detail and the laborious time spent on making sure that everything is above standard in all aspects. But on the other hand, they appreciate everything being in its natural state. Women let their hair be free, food is untainted by anything processed or unnatural, and old buildings are left to their natural standing.

I appreciate sitting in a pizza looking at beautiful people and beautiful fountains, while eating the most delicious food and drinking the most fruity wine, more than I can express. I truly belive that this is a style of life that we should all strive to experience. Appreciate beauty and strive for excellence but do it slow enough that everything's natural properties are appreciated as well.

Anway, I am off to have my Aperol Spritz and pre-dinner "piazza lounging" on my deck...
